Why I Shoot Fujifilm

Nowadays, you can get a great camera from just about any camera manufacturer. Photographers really are spoiled for choice when it comes to picking a camera system. So, when it came time for me to choose a camera system, I chose Fujifilm. This blog post is an explanation as to why. 

One Lens To Rule Them All - Fujifilm 60mm 2.4 Review

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I’m reviewing a lens that’s several years old and was widely reviewed when it came out. So, why should you pay attention to this review in 2016, which is admittedly a day late and a dollar short? Because quite a few things have changed since the time this lens came out. First, this lens on an X-T1 is a different animal than on the x-Pro1. Second, there have been several improvements and firmware updates which have improved things dramatically.

Fuji XC 50-230mm - Cheap and Cheerful or Just Cheap?

So Fuji now has 3 telephoto zoom lenses with a maximum reach of 200mm or more. The only one I have is the XC 50-230. I'm not sure what XC stands for, but I'm going to assume it's extremely cheap. I bought this lens for less than $200 if memory serves, and I'm actually quite pleased with my purchase, with a few caveats. 

Single Photo Explanation/Discussion - Lines

I get quite a few compliments on this picture, which was honestly pretty surprising when I first posted it. This is a parking garage in Downtown Houston. I am standing at the base of it and shooting straight up. The only remarkable thing about it is the lines in it, which is why I called it Lines.

So I've gone and gotten myself a website

So, I went and got a website. It was a New Years resolution to start a photography blog and a website to showcase my photography in the hopes that someone out there would enjoy it, or that someone would buy some of my photos, or that someone would hire me to take photos for them, or all three.
